Mozart once handed a freshly written composition to an orchestra, the ink still wet. Asked why he wrote it so late, he replied, “I already finished it in my head. Writing it down just took time.” Genius ideas aren’t owned; they’re gems from a higher plane. Geniuses are those whose minds, like radios, tune into these higher frequencies.
Mozart said, “When I am... completely myself, entirely alone... ideas flow best and most abundantly. Whence and how they come, I know not; nor can I force them.” This field, called infinite potentiality, is accessed through stillness, where you surrender thoughts and feelings to touch the primordial seat of pure awareness.
Stopping all thoughts and feelings is nearly impossible, but you can slow them, letting them fade like faint chatter in another room—distant, irrelevant. This clears the channel to the infinite potentiality field, readying you to receive.
Try these five practices:
Freestyle Journaling
Write anything—no purpose, no editing. Spill every thought or feeling onto the page without pausing. This clears cluttered mental energy, preparing you for new ideas.
Stare at a Flame
A candle’s flickering flame has a primal, soothing effect. Focus on its shifting form, letting it dominate your attention. The small self fades as the flame mesmerizes.
Connect with Nature
Climbing a hill in a redwood park, I once sat on a log at the peak. Time slowed, and golden dust floated effortlessly in the air. Nature offers moments that drop you into stillness.
Meditate Regularly
Meditation directly accesses the mind’s still background. Practice morning and evening, or try micro-sessions of one-minute breath focus throughout the day.
Surrender Opinions
Opinions are cheap and often wrong. They’re judgments that clog the channel to infinite potentiality, like static drowning out a clear signal.

Everything aside..."surrendering opinions" ... That's the real paradigm shift
