>The yin side is the natural release of suppressed negative emotions, thoughts, and destructive beliefs from your unconscious.

Yes Jeffery Martin calls it “Deconditioning”. ( especially true for the “Belief” parts, reified thought in fact)

The important part I would like to discuss here is “suppressed”.

1/ A lot of people expect negative emotions to vanish , given enough meditation. Well, … No…

Equanimity brings a softening to it, ( a cognitive information stays, the “emotional” part fades out, otherwise you would become some ultra detached zombie)

2/ But some emotions ( or reactions to it in fact ) may be “suppressed” for extra-hot sensations ( aka trauma) .

In my case, an avoidance pattern was trigerred, to “distract” from th trigger.

Therefore, the triggers can never get “cleaned”, or learned - classified,

and so the DMN will bring it back Again and Again as Rumination, or Obsessions.

Until it is finally not suppressed, and then it can be accepted-welcomed-processed.

And Then it turns into “information” and the situation stop being replayed.it

The Story then turns into a bad souvenir, and the story goes on the “Case Closed” Pile, finally . There is no need to “suppress” it anymore
