Modern Spirituality
Practical spirituality for folks juggling family, jobs, and dreams to find inner peace and joy
About the Writer
I’m thrilled you’ve found your way here. I’m a husband, a father, and a spiritual seeker navigating the secular world. I firmly believe that my spiritual journey and life journey are one and the same. Instead of retreating to an ashram or temple, I view every moment in my daily life as an opportunity for spiritual practice.
I grew up in China and pursued architecture studies in the US and Japan. During a co-active coaching class, I had a profound experience where I suddenly saw everyone around me as deeply lovely and lovable. On the drive home, the sunset outside my car window was breathtakingly beautiful.
That moment sparked my discovery of teachers like David R. Hawkins, A Course in Miracles teachers, Shinzen Young, Michael A. Singer, and Dan Millman. For the past ten years, I’ve practiced meditation and regularly studied the Diamond Sutra, Bhagavad Gita, A Course in Miracles, and the Tao Te Ching.
My interests span mindfulness, surrender, letting go, karma yoga, the non-action of the Tao, and forgiveness. My goal is to synthesize these teachings into what I call Modern Spirituality—practical spirituality for people juggling family, jobs, and dreams.
While I’m trained in designing buildings, my true passion lies in architecting inner peace and joy, independent of external conditions or outcomes. If you subscribe and join me on this journey of exploration, it would truly be my honor.
